Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States in January. His wife, Melania Trump, will be by his side, though it’s unclear as yet whether she will live full-time with her husband at the White House. Over the course of the last year, rumors have been abound that the couple are facing marital challenges, with Melania reportedly even changing their prenup.
Melania has kept herself out of the spotlight since she and Donald left the White House following the 2020 election. The former and future First Lady has focused largely on supporting her son, Barron, in finishing high school. Barron has enrolled at New York University, meaning Melania will spend much time in New York instead of Washington.

As a young woman, Melania aspired to become a model, and aimed for the stars when she left her home country of Slovenia behind to move to New York City. Her face was all over Times Square in a commercial for a cigarette company, and at a party while she was still modeling, she met Donald Trump.
These days the 54-year-old has left her modeling career in the past, but it appears that some of her old work has become news again, this time in Russia. On primetime TV, Russian media reportedly last week showed Melania posing – while not wearing any clothes.

Barron Trump reveals shock political stance to close friends
Before Donald Trump’s election victory, he and his wife Melania endured a very challenging time. In January, Melania’s mother passed away, and this year a lot of focus has been placed on the fact that Donald has been in and out of court, perhaps most notably regarding the hush money trial involving porn star Stormy Daniels.
Melania Trump renegotiated prenup agreement with her husband
According to Page Six, Melania spent a big chunk of 2023 renegotiating the terms of her prenuptial agreement with Donald. A source said her new “postnup” is in place. The news outlet reported that Melania wanted the new deal because she was worried about how much money would be left for her and Barron after legal bills, damages, and possible fines were paid.
“This agreement was necessary because of the current legal battles.[Donald] has suffered,” a source told Page Six, adding that the renegotiated prenup will “provide a more solid future” for Melania and Barron if she and Donald end up separating.
“It’s not that she threatened to leave him. It’s definitely the underlying idea.”
A person familiar with the renegotiated prenup told Page Six that Melania wanted the deal to provide her with money and property. It included cash, where there is a “specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain.”
Moreover, another source told the news outlet: “This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her martial agreement.”
Reports have suggested that Donald Trump and his wife’s marriage is far from stable. Previously, Melania reportedly said she never wanted to return to the White House because she thought of it as her least favorite place. But at one point or another, things changed.
Melania Trump stated it would be a “privilege” to be First Lady again
In an interview with Fox News in May 2023, Melania said she looked forward to working alongside her husband again to restore “hope for the future” and “leading America with love and strength” for a second presidential term. Moreover, Melania explained that serving as First Lady again would be a “privilege.”
“My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again,” she told Fox News. “He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength.”
Children have always been one of Melania Trump’s big passions. In 2023, she said that if Donald were to be re-elected as US President, she would “prioritize the well-being and development of children as I have always done.”
“My focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow, and thrive,” she said. “If additional problems arise, I will take the time to study them and understand their root causes.”

Melania Trump ‘unlikely’ to live full-time at the White Hhouse
Following last week’s election victory, it’s now set in stone that Melania will return to the White House with her husband. However, People Magazine sources have claimed it’s ‘unlikely’ that she will live there full-time.
“If Melania becomes first lady again, of course people expect her to move into the White House and perform appropriate duties,” a source close to the Trump family said, adding that Melania isn’t keen on relocating to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
“She will have her private living apartment there, and she has her home in New York and her home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. She will spend time in all of these places,” the source added.
Mary Jordan, author of The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump, told ABC: “She has told people, ‘Look, I’m not the one elected.’ So if she wants to go down to Mar-a-Lago and hang out by herself for two weeks, do that. But she is going to be in the White House. She loves a lot of the pomp and circumstance.”
It’s no secret that Melania remained out of the spotlight during her husband’s most recent presidential campaign. On Election Tuesday, however, she was at her husband’s side, both when they both went to vote and later that night, as Donald claimed the victory.
“We will safeguard the heart of our republic”
Not long after, she took to her social media channels and offered a message of unity. On X, she stated that she expected Americans to rise “above ideology.”
“The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility,” Melania wrote. “We will safeguard the heart of our republic – freedom. I anticipate the citizens of our nation rejoining in commitment to each other and rising above ideology for the sake of individual liberty, economic prosperity, and security.”
