Back when Barack Obama was president, Laura Ingraham suggested filmmaker Clint Eastwood had a significant role in the world of politics
Fox News is typically quick to condemn celebrities when they share their opinions on politics. When stars like Jimmy Kimmel or LeBron James have spoken up about their views, the conservative news network has slammed them for not staying in their lane.
However, it’s evident that Fox News only gets upset about anyone sharing their political views when they don’t align with their own. Some celebrities who lean more conservative have gotten the OK to rant on about their opinions — making the network seem a bit hypocritical.
Back when Barack Obama was president, Laura Ingraham suggested filmmaker Clint Eastwood had a significant role in the world of politics. She tweeted in 2012, “Did Clint Eastwood make it more acceptable for Hollywood to make fun of the president?”
She also shared Eastwood’s message to the U.S. Supreme Court to “drop California’s gay marriage ban” on Twitter — something she clearly agreed with and presented as a valuable resource.
2. Jon Voight
Angelina Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, used to be a Democratic activist. However, by the early 2000s, he completely switched gears and voiced his new conservative mindset. Of course, once he identified as a Republican, Fox News was quick to provide Voight a platform.
He began appearing on the network in 2004, and even stopped by as a guest to voiced his support of Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential election.
3. Gene Simmons
KISS frontman Gene Simmons made his name in the music industry, but he’s apparently trying to gain a following in the political world, too. Fox News is completely on board, and has had the conservative musician on their network plenty of times to share his opinions.
He’s made controversial comments about women and race, and has even advised liberal celebrities to “shut their pie holes” when it comes to politics. Fox & Friends clearly agrees with his views, as one host raved, “He’s a serious and successful businessman. He’s got a lot to say about about public policy, from health care to taxes.”
5.Chuck Norris
Chuck Norris has been a go-to celebrity to appear on Fox News for years. He once stopped by the network to speak with Bill O’Reilly, where he made the totally baseless claim, “What has happened is the Democrats have gone farther left, and the Republicans have gone to where the Democrats were 40 years ago.”
