Goldie Hawn: It doesn’t have to be all day, emotions go up and down, but you deserve to take care of yourself that way

Goldie Hawn has made a rare appearance on Instagram as she shared a video talking about the importance of prioritizing your mental health.

Goldie Hawn is known for her work with children’s charities and has made an appearance as she spoke about her own important foundation, MindUp.

The Hollywood star, 78, looked better than ever in the short video as she spoke about World Mental Health Day and the importance of prioritizing your own health.

Goldie used the opportunity to share her own experiences on Instagram while also adding what she believes fans need to do when they are feeling low.

She began: “Today is World Mental Health Day and as we know we’ve had so many challenges for our mental health and so many reasons why.

“And today, and this time is challenging for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. But I would say that it’s important to take care of ourselves. It’s important to recognize when we’re feeling anxious and recognize when life isn’t very good.

“But if we aren’t prepared to know that when I’m feeling like this it’s time to take time out.

“And everybody should have that time out so we can fulfill ourselves with prayer, with joy, things that make you feel good.”

The First Wives Club star then shared her own experiences and how she makes sure to always work on her mental health.

She continued: “It doesn’t have to be all day, emotions go up and down. But you deserve to take care of yourself that way.

“When I’m sad or I’m feeling like this I breathe and I try to remember all the things that I’m grateful for and there’s a heck of a lot of them.

“But it doesn’t matter where you’re at or the world you live in. It matters how you feel about yourself and you’re giving to others and others are giving to you.

“This will change your mindset. Every Time you think of something sad, or fearful, or angry, take a break.”

MindUP For Life, The Goldie Hawn Foundation was founded in 2003 and has the mission of helping children globally develop the mental fitness necessary to thrive in school and throughout their lives.

In September 2022, she took part in the Concordia Annual Summit in New York, where prominent public figures around the world, including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, spoke about the world’s most pressing issues.

Since its inception, MindUP, which is a global initiative, has trained over 150,000 teachers and served millions of children across 12 countries.

Goldie has been in a relationship with Kurt Russell for 40 years, but the pair chose not to wed, avoiding the Hollywood curse.
