Tommy Lee Jones has been in the business for longer than you’d think! The actor made his move over to New York City at 23 years-old way back in 1969. While he didn’t have his big break until the 80s, Jones managed to secure a number of roles on Broadway before landing a recurring on “One Life To Live” in the early 70s. By 1983, Tommy Lee Jones had become a household name, and the actor took home his first-ever Emmy Award.
It was at this time that Jones was a recognized and valued member of Hollywood and it was only up from there! After appearing in countless hit films such as “Volcano”, “The Fugitive”, and “Men In Black” alongside Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones was making millions upon millions. Although his acting character certainly made that possible, Tommy has also gotten involved with a number of brand endorsements and real estate, allowing him to amass his impressive $85 million net worth.
When it comes to the world of Hollywood, there is one actor who has been in the business for quite a while! Tommy Lee Jones first made his debut back in the late 60s after officially moving to New York City to pursue a career on-screen. While it took the star a while to get there, Tommy Lee Jones managed to secure a number of spots on Broadway and soap operas, before breaking out into more recognized and lead roles. By the 80s, Jones was a known actor, and even won his first-ever Emmy.
Enter the 90s, and Tommy Lee Jones was appearing in just about every movie you could think of. The actor starred in the 1983 film, “The Fugitive”, where he took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. It was at this time that Tommy was scoring major blockbuster films such as “Men In Black”, alongside none other than Will Smith, “Batman Forever”, “JFK” and “Space Cowboys”, in which he starred with the legendary Clint Eastwood.
Due to his ongoing lead roles as an actor, Tommy Lee Jones managed to amass quite the impressive net worth, but he didn’t do it from acting alone! The star made his directorial debut in 2005 and would later go on to star in Marvel’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” and of course, “Lincoln”, in which he gained yet another Oscar nomination. With a career spanning 50 years, it is no surprise that Tommy has managed to make so many millions.
In addition to his career in Hollywood, Jones also scored one of the biggest endorsement deals in Japan. Since 2006, Tommy has appeared in a series of Suntory commercials as a character known as “Alien Jones”. He has become quite an established star in Japan due to this endorsement, which has only contributed to his continuously rising net worth.
As if that wasn’t enough, Tommy also knows his way around the real estate market! The actor purchased separate parcels of land in 2002 in Wellington, Florida for $4 million and managed to later combine them together for a sale of $12 million! Jones not only made a decent amount back but essentially tripled his profit. No wonder he’s worth so much!
